Accessibility Statement

Counterpoint Software is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.

Our commitment

We want everyone who visits counterpointsoftwareinc.com to be able to learn about our company and products and to get in touch with us. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility and review the website as it changes.

Accessibility standard

This website is designed and maintained with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Counterpoint Software aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Based on our most recent review, the website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means some parts of the content or its testing do not yet fully meet the standard. The known limitations are listed below.

Measures we have taken

In our most recent review we made the following improvements to the website:

  • Page structure uses landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer, with one main heading on each page.
  • A skip link lets keyboard users jump past the navigation to the main content.
  • All links, buttons, menus, tabs and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • The mobile menu can be opened with Enter or Space and closed with Escape.
  • Text alternatives describe informative images, including product screenshots and team photos.
  • Text and button colors were checked and adjusted to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels, and required fields are marked.
  • Links that open in a new tab tell screen-reader users that they do.
  • Pages reflow on small screens and support browser zoom, and motion is reduced for visitors who turn on their reduced-motion setting.

Compatibility

The website is intended to work with current versions of commonly used web browsers and with commonly used assistive technologies, such as screen readers, screen magnifiers and voice control software. It relies on HTML, CSS, WAI-ARIA and JavaScript. Older or unsupported browsers and assistive technologies may not display or behave as expected.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are working to address them:

  • Our review did not yet include testing with screen readers such as NVDA or VoiceOver. We plan to complete this testing and will update this statement.
  • The Terms & Conditions PDF contains real text, document tags, a title and a language setting, but its reading order and structure have not been fully reviewed. If you need its content in another format, please contact us.
  • Some keyboard and screen-reader improvements, such as arrow-key navigation in tabbed sections and Escape closing the mobile menu, depend on JavaScript being enabled.
  • Links to third-party websites, such as LinkedIn and Google Maps, lead to content we do not control.

Counterpoint Software evaluated this website through self-assessment, using:

  • Automated testing with the axe-core accessibility engine
  • Keyboard-only testing of navigation, menus, tabs and the demo request form
  • Checks of browser zoom, reflow at small screen widths and increased text spacing
  • Manual review of the page code against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria
